Hotel Cerro

The design team re-envisioned a new upscale boutique hotel experience by connecting two historical masonry buildings, creating Hotel Cerro. This project included remodeling and seismically-upgrading the existing structures, presenting a unique challenge to the design team. The new 65-room hotel is wrapped around an active courtyard and includes an edible garden on the terrace level. To highlight San Luis Obispo’s stunning landscape, the team incorporated a rooftop deck to capture views of Cerro San Luis, and enhanced the design by use of natural materials throughout.
